Quick Answer

The next announced content update is October 27, 2026. Patch 1.1.0, dated October 6, remains the latest released patch listed in the official news feed. No exact October 27 unlock time was confirmed in the reviewed announcements. Checked October 22, 2026.

Tower Farm and the Scythe are free gameplay additions; the Michael skins, new Civilian bundle and costume pack are optional paid content. Do not confuse a free update with a free base game.

Release Milestones

September 4 was the eligible Digital Deluxe preorder Early Access window; September 8 was the general digital launch. The original physical-edition announcement gave October 6. That historical announcement is not a universal stock or delivery guarantee: the release-date guide explains the current retailer discrepancy.

Platform and Region Checks

Digital platforms and disc hardware are different: the official physical editions name PS5 and Xbox Series X, not an Xbox Series S disc version. Store availability, prices and online access still depend on region and account. Check the PS5 guide and crossplay guide for those separate questions.

October 27: Free vs Paid

The official content announcement schedules these for October 27, 2026. Prices are announced USD references, not verified local-store prices.

The Scythe guide section separates free progression from the paid immediate unlock. The character roster explains Eugene and Michelle’s announced traits; they are not counted as already playable.

The October 13 Tower Farm preview shows a rural setting with farms, fields and a trailer park. It does not confirm tested escape routes or item spawns. Do not copy launch-map routes onto the new map.

Released Patch

Released Patch 1.1.0 is separate from the upcoming drop

The October 6 patch notes confirm crash and stability work, escape-item and match-pacing adjustments, Bloodthirst/Shape tuning, melee changes and challenge fixes. These are published patch changes, not proof that every device has installed the patch or every bug is gone.

Editions and Prices

The original US price references are USD 39.99 for Standard and USD 149.99 for the physical Limited Collector’s Edition. The Collector’s Edition guide keeps current dated retailer observations separate from the original announcement. The October 27 DLC is a separate offer, not a newly announced entitlement for every Collector’s Edition buyer.

Confirmed and Unconfirmed

Confirmed: the scheduled content list, announced USD prices and free-versus-paid distinction.

Not confirmed: exact regional unlock times, the Scythe’s precise challenge requirements or damage values, new-character stat percentages, live stock in every country or current cross-platform player counts.
